Last Monday (that is right, LAST Monday, as in last week) we bought a refrigerator at HHGregg. We got this great deal on a Whirlpool side-by-side. After we paid for the thing we are told that we have to schedule a delivery, they don't keep things like that in stock. We had a crazy weekend out of town and there wasn't an available slot last week so it was scheduled for today. They said they would call us between 6:30-8:30 am and give us a 3 hour window in which they would be delivering and then call when they are about 45 minutes out. When they called this morning they told us the delivery would take place between 7-10 PM. Yes, you read that right...PM, as in EVENING, NIGHT, DARK! How ridiculously insane is that? Who wants to have an appliance delivered at 10 pm? Not me. Call me an old lady, but we go to bed between 9 and 9:30. It is now 9:29 and I am falling asleep (if you have noticed, we have been pretty busy lately and I am suffering from exhaustion!) as a write this.
Moral of this story...never, ever, EVER buy anything from HHGregg unless you want to stay up all night!
By the way, they told us when we bought it that deliveries were between 7 am - 7 pm. Yeah right! And in case you didn't know, Rooms to Go is the same way!
