[Side Note: For those of you who are wondering "Why is she blogging on vacation?" I am one of those people who likes to document things and I would type this anyways so why not just post it?]
After breakfast we decided it was time to hit the streets. We began our day by booking our sunset sail for tomorrow night (my birthday) and then continued on to Aquarium Wharf where we took a chartered boat out to Ft. Sumter. It was so neat to see all of these things you hear about in history. I realize we live in the heart of Alabama history in Montgomery, but I have grown up seeing those things so it was cool to see something somewhere else. I am by no means a history buff but I did enjoy seeing all the sights I had only heard of. Since we did the 12:00 tour it was 2:30 when we returned to shore and we were hungry for lunch. The plan was to walk down to Waterfront Park but we didn't think we could make it that far without lunch so we stopped at Subway to eat only to find out after we ate we were less than a block from the park. We also saw Rainbow Row today. We have some amazing pictures, I will have to post some of my favs when we get back.
We also walked down part of King Street this afternoon. It is so neat, they have like every store you would ever want to go in- Saks 5th Ave, Gucci, Lucky Brand Jeans, Abercrombie, Victoria's Secret, Ann Taylor, etc. INSANE! We didn't really shop that much just walked through to take the scenic route to dinner. Tomorrow is for shopping I think.
Tonight, dinner was Sticky Fingers BBQ! Yum! We both just had bbq sandwiches and then we ordered this great chocolate dessert. I don't even feel bad about eating all that we are because we are walking like crazy we have walked a good 5 hours today and my feet are feeling it! Dr. Stern would not be happy that I am wearing flip-flops with my foot like it is but OH WELL! It is too hot to wear tennis shoes!
