please christmas don't be late

Today is December 15...Today is December 15...Seriously? 10 days until Christmas? How did that happen? I remember when I was younger and it seemed like Christmas would take forever to get here. Now, at 24 it seems like yesterday was June and tomorrow is Christmas.
In one of the many lines I had to wait in Saturday when I was out shopping I struck up a conversation with an older lady in front of me in line and we were just talking about the madness that is Christmas shopping and how quickly Christmas seems to have come this year and she said, "Honey, I know you don't want to hear this but it just goes by faster every year, wait until you are my age."
How true is that statement? I remember being 9 and longing for the days of freedom that I thought would come with a drivers license. It seemed to pass so slowly and now, as I don't want to get older it goes much faster. But I guess that is life.
Anyways, I didn't mean to get off subject, back to Christmas. I still have a little last minute shopping I need to do. Hopefully I am going to get on that Wednesday afternoon. It would feel so good to be finished before I was out of school. Then I could spend all next week hanging out with Jeremy, reading and working on the house.
